Delicious Underground Dining + Storytelling on the Side.

iStock_000002237961XSmallGuerrilla Cuisine, a wandering supper club experiment is doing a West Coast storytelling series and it kicks off Saturday September 25th in Healdsburg! Join us for a 5 course dinner and some interesting entertainment.
If you have a story to tell we’d love to hear from you! The story has to be true, and told live without notes. Think, The Moth but with dinner.

If you’re unfamiliar with Guerrilla Cuisine, it is a culinary and artistic experiment. Some folks call it “underground dining”. Whatever it is, it’s secret and delicious. It’s a 5 course dinner held in a secret location. You have to buy a ticket to get the location which is sent out 24 hours before the event.
Guerrilla Cuisine is not for everyone, it’s not a sit down look at a big menu and order kind of thing. It’s a social experiment where you get to have delicious food, meet new people and enjoy great art. For a little more info on Guerrilla Cuisine check out this video.

GC West will be a little different but no less exciting. We’d love to see you there.

Saturday September 25th, 6pm at a undisclosed location.
Tickets are $50 plus BYOB. Go here to buy your tickets.

Healdsburg: it’s another world.

IMG_0713Here’s the thing about Healdsburg: it really is another world. If you’ve been there, then you need no proof. You’ve already experienced some of the exquisite, unique, modern, even quirky places to stay. You’ve already sampled the melt-in-your-mouth, locally sourced cuisine. You’ve already sipped stellar from cellar wines that were born in this unbelievable valley. You’ve already fallen in love with Healdsburg (don’t worry, it happens to all of us). But if you haven’t been fortunate enough to visit Healdsburg, I offer the photo above—proof that this really is another world. Excuse the photo quality, I snapped it with my iPhone on my last visit. It was taken at the Irish Rose Inn. Rumors had been spreading that there was a new romance in town. I had to see it for myself. Look closely. There in Daisy’s “Pigloo” (she’s the resident pig at the Irish Rose) is her new object of affection: a chicken, whom I named Scarlet. Yes friends, you’re looking at Bacon and eggs, spooning from dusk ’til dawn. What will the neighbors think? Heck, what will the other chickens think when Scarlet shows up with a 200 lbs. pig? Oh who cares! This is Healdsburg. And things like that happen around here. Often. Welcome to another world. We can’t wait to see you.
